what is NOSA all about

The NOSA Thunder Bay target shooting club has shooting ranges located in the City of Thunder Bay for indoor shooting and near Nolalu for outdoor shooting. We have members from many outlying communities as well. Rifle and pistol target shooting activities are available year round.

The “New” in our name relates to the once popular term of New Ontario for this portion of the province. Our shooting club started in 1909 as a rifle long range target shooting club, and incorporated several other local clubs over the years as we expanded our interests to other types of rifle and pistol target shooting.

JR Shooters Program

The New Ontario Shooters Association (NOSA) has an active Junior Shooters Program in Thunder Bay intended to educate and practice junior members in safe and responsible firearms handling and shooting techniques.

The Junior Shooters Program provides a structured coaching program with progress based development and advancement.

Further advantages to the individuals participating in our training program include developing skills of coordination and concentration that will help them in other life activities.

NOSA Gun show

the Nosa gun shows are away to raise money for the gun club itself and it is away to get the whole shooting community together. to raise money so NOSA can keep the club running so we can continue to keep this gun/ shooting community together. and thank you to fish and game for welcoming the NOSA community into the wide vast community of Fish and Game.
